Qatar Elite Referee Camp
The Qatar Elite Referee Camp concluded on August 18 after a training period from August 7 to 18, totaling 12 days. A select group of referees participated in theoretical lectures, practical and physical training sessions, with a special focus on psychological aspects to help them handle various match situations.
Comprehensive Training Program
The program included detailed explanations of the Laws of the Game, with practical applications and field drills aimed at improving technical and physical aspects. Trainings focused on enhancing decision-making speed and accuracy in handling refereeing situations, as well as developing physical fitness and psychological resilience.
Performance Assessment
At the end of the camp, referees took a written test on the Laws of the Game to measure their understanding of the topics covered. Referee Committee Chair Hani Blan noted that the referees worked hard throughout the camp, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the gains and maintaining the achieved level.
International Support
Jonathan Lardot, Chair of the Belgian Referee Committee, expressed his pleasure in participating in the Qatar Elite Referee Camp, praising the organizational, technical, and logistical quality of the events, and commending Qatar’s leadership in setting global standards for sporting gatherings.
